A recent increase in Decatur Al Foreclosures peaked my interest, so I thought I would utilize my account over at RealtyTrac to take a closer look at the statistics.
What I found was not really all that alarming but nonetheless some interesting opportunities may come about, due to recent foreclosure trends. What the following charts indicate is that during May 2010 there were 54 new instances of foreclosure activity within Morgan County with the vast majority of these within the Decatur city limits.

The Chart to the left show last months activity:
Decatur – 30 new instances of foreclosure activity
Hartselle – 15 new instances of foreclosure activity
Danville, Somerville, and Trinity – 9 new instances

The chart to the right shows the monthly trend that initially caught my attention. You will note that over the last 3 months Decatur Foreclosures have increased steadily to a volume greater than any month over the past year.

However the trend when compared with the rest of the state and especially nationally, truly indicates that local foreclosure levels are still well under control. If things deteriorate further we will certainly keep you posted right here on these pages.
