Recently, I played a round of golf at Point Mallard Golf Course with our Marketing Director, Michael Bertoldi; and a couple of friends of mine. We’re no stranger to golf courses in Decatur, Alabama and Point Mallard happens to be one of our favorites. In fact, I like it so much that I’m a member!
So, of all the golf courses in Decatur, Alabama, what is it that we like about Point Mallard?
It starts with quality and condition. Point Mallard Golf Course has exceptional fairways and greens, which you know is the most important key to a golf course. After all, that’s where we’d like to spend most of our time right? You may find an occasional rough patch, but overall, the grounds crew does a good job of keeping the fairways in good condition through the hot Decatur summers. And the greens are exceptional, so if you’re putting is on, you should score well.
The next thing that makes Point Mallard a great golf course is value. As of this writing, pricing goes like this:
Monday – Thursday
with cart: $36
without cart: $22
twilight: $25 (beginning at 2 p.m. and includes cart)
Friday, Saturday, & Sunday
with cart: $40
without cart: $26
Memberships at Point Mallard are $400 or $600. The $400 membership includes golf on Monday through Friday, with no cart. The $600 membership includes weekends and no cart. If you’d like a cart when you play, it’s $12.
As you can see, all the golf you want, all year, on Monday through Friday for $400 is a great deal. If you don’t want to join, $22 for 18 holes at Point Mallard is a great rate and you’ll be hard pressed to find a better value.
